FAQs

Does my lift chair come with free shipping? 

Yes. Please see our free shipping page for more details. 

Is in-home delivery and set-up included with my lift chair purchase? 

Sometimes. This is an extra service. Please visit our white glove delivery page to learn more. However, we may offer it as a special or introductory offer from time to time on select lift chairs. 

Does my lift chair require assembly? 

Yes. Lift chairs that are ordered and received using our standard free delivery service require some assembly, which mainly involves attaching the back of the chair to the bottom and making sure all wires are properly connected. Lift chairs cannot be shipped fully assembled due to the risk of damage or lost parts.

Mega Motion's technical department can provide some guidance with assembling your lift chair or you can reference the product manual that comes with the chair. If you require assembly, then you will need to order white glove delivery at checkout.  You can contact Mega Motion's tech department at: 1-800-634-2508

Do your lift chairs come with a warranty?

Yes. All Mega Motion Lift Chairs come with a one-year in-home service warranty and a limited lifetime warranty on the steel lift mechanism and frame. Please read more on our warranty page

How long will it take to receive my order? 

Orders are typically shipped within 24-48 business hours of receiving your order and payment. Once your order has left Mega Motion's warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation via email. Once orders ship, expect to receive it within 5 - 7 business days, with the exception of chairs made with Lexi Sta-Kleen or any of our performance fabrics. Performance fabric chairs could take up to 10 additional business days to ship. If the chair is not in stock, it will be sent to the builder to be built and should be available within 10 business days and it will be shipped out. 
The process does vary depending stock, holidays, payment processing times, and shipping carriers used. Some shipping times may take slightly longer due to situations beyond our control since the product comes directly from the manufacturer. We do our best to make sure your lift chair gets out the door right away. 

What happens if my item is not in stock?

You have two options; we can either provide you with a refund less a $35 admin fee or you can wait for your item to come back in stock. The supplier typically provides us with approximate re-stock times. Most chairs are in stock a majority of the time so this shouldn't be much of an issue. 

Can my lift chair be returned? 

You can return your lift chair back to the supplier within 30 days of purchase. You will be charged a 35% restocking fee and the lift chair must be in the original packaging with all parts and manuals, and the box must be sealed or else the lift chair will not be picked up. If the lift chair is received with a defect or missing parts, the refund amount will be determined by the supplier once they advise on the damage and replacement costs. Please contact us before initiating a return so we can make sure you qualify and that everything is in order. Please see our free shipping and returns page to learn more. 

What if my lift chair arrives broken or doesn't work? 

Please contact us directly to see what may be covered under the warranty and to start a claim if it was due to shipping. You can also visit our warranty page to see what is covered and how the service warranty works. If your chair is not fixable, then the supplier will exchange it free of charge. If the customer caused the damage, then the chair cannot be fixed or exchanged for free; all repairs will be charged directly to the customer. 

Will medicare pay for my lift chair?

No, medicare does not pay for a any lift chairs. However, you can purchase your lift chair from any retailer and if you meet the requirements, you may qualify for a partial medicare reimbursement on the lift and seat mechanism. Please see our medicare page to learn more. 

Does Freedom Lift Chairs handle my medicare claim? 

No, we do not handle medicare claims. The chair must first be purchased from us. We will provide you with a receipt of purchase, which you can include along with your medicare claim package. All forms and references to making a medicare claim can be found on our medicare page. 

Are purchases from Freedom Lift Chairs Tax-Free?

We are happy to offer our customers tax-free purchases in all States with the exception of South Carolina. Since we are registered and located in the State of South Carolina, we are required collect taxes on all South Carolina orders. You do not need to do anything at checkout. Just place your order, use any coupon codes for discounts, select shipping, and you are good to go! 

Where are Mega Motion's Lift Chairs made?

Most of Mega Motion's Lift Chairs are made right here in the U.S.A. The components and parts are made up of a combination of American and foreign parts. 

Are you authorized to sell Mega Motion Lift Chairs online? 

Yes. We are an authorized dealer for Mega Motion and in order to provide you with the best selection of Mega Motion Lift Chairs online, we have agreed to be an exclusive dealer for Mega Motion. Many of the lift chairs we carry online are only sold in some brick and mortar stores, which means you have the opportunity to buy and save online while choosing from a a great selection of lift chairs! 

Do Mega Motion lift chairs come in other colors or fabrics? 

Yes, most lift chair models can be made in other colors and fabrics known as high performance fabrics manufactured by Crypton and Lexi-Sta Kleen. These fabrics resist moisture and stains, are easy to clean and maintain, and protect your chair from moisture damage. Please contact us for more details on the colors and fabrics.
